The Avon Lake Athletic Boosters (ALAB) is a 100% volunteer-led nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the athletic experience for all Avon Lake student-athletes. We operate year-round to raise funds, coordinate support, and build partnerships that directly benefit our middle and high school sports programs.
Our organization plays a vital role in helping student-athletes succeed both on and off the field. With limited school funding available for athletics, many essential expenses fall outside the district’s budget. That’s where ALAB steps in—helping to cover the cost of uniforms, equipment, travel, facility improvements, and other team needs that enhance the overall athletic experience.
Our support reaches every athlete and every sport. Whether it’s football, swimming, cross country, cheerleading, track, baseball, or any other school-sponsored sport, ALAB ensures that teams are well-equipped, recognized, and supported throughout the season. We also honor student achievement through scholarships and awards for graduating seniors who have demonstrated athletic and academic excellence.
Funds are raised through memberships, sponsorships, donations, and community events. Every dollar contributed goes directly back into the athletic programs. Our members include parents, alumni, coaches, and local businesses who believe in the value of athletics as part of a well-rounded education.
Monthly meetings are open to the public and offer a great opportunity to learn more, share ideas, and get involved. Officers are elected annually, and we’re always welcoming new volunteers who want to make a difference.
